As a way of getting started... here are a few thought on worship. Worship is a journey. There is no such thing as a call to worship. Worship is relentless. We do not go to church to worship. Worship cannot be contained. Worship is mystery. Worship is the continuous outpouring of all that I am, all that I do and all that I can ever become in light of a chosen or choosing God. We do not step into or out of faith...nor do we step into or out of worship. Worship is personal. Worship is corporate. Worship is the free exchange between the Creator and the Imago Dei Worship is the realization that we are ‘undone’. We are all unceasing worshippers. Worship does not stop and start. If we place emphasis on specific times, places and methods we misunderstand worship’s biblical meaning. Worship is at once about who we are, who our God is, and how we choose to live. |
